Farnley Triton
2004
Gr, 13.1h - Truly bred in the purple, Triton is a
son of the late Land's End Poseiden x of a daughter of the great Gayfield's Vida Blue.
Triton has lived up to his pedigree -- he is many times a Welsh Supreme Champion and was the National Champion Section B Welsh stallion in 2009 and 2010.
Triton is known for his outstanding movement, coupled with a kind temperament and, of course, his unmistakable beauty and presence.
Still young, he has sired multiple Supreme Champions in the Welsh ring, and several winners on the line at the bigger shows like Devon. His oldest babies are just making their way into the performance arenas and hunter pony rings, and they are exhibiting their sire's athleticism and big, flowing movement.
After carefully considering nearly 20 pony stallions, we decided Triton was exactly right
for our appendix QH mare Too Hot To Sneak (Sneakers) and we were right! "Tommy" was foaled 6/23/17 -- he's a handsome and athletic colt and we have big plans for his future!
Empire's Power
Ch, 14.3h - Imported from Holland, Power has a great pedigree that includes the illustrious TB Buckpasser and some of the best of Welsh foundation lines.
Power is building an ever more impressive siring record in the Hunter Pony rings, both on the line and now in the performance classes. He is the sire of model class winners at Devon and Pony Finals, and his oldest get are now starting to make their mark over fences, with wins, Grands and Reserves at shows like Pony Finals, HITS, WEF and Upperville.
Power combines beauty and great athletic ability, and we're thrilled with our first foal by him x Telynau Fiesta! Ruby was foaled in May
of 2016, and she looks and moves like the
future champion we hoped she'd be. We've decided that Fiesta needs another Power baby,
but we're giving her some time off.
Lands End Rondo
Lvr Ch, 12.2h - An extremely handsome full brother to Land's End Adagio and Land's End The Colonel Fox, Rondo had a limited opportunity at stud.
Because his two full brothers are popular sires, he was gelded and is now competing in the small pony hunters.
Update 2016 -- Rondo finished 4th Overall in the Small Greens and High Point Small Green Welsh Pony at Pony Finals -- also, named
Grand Champion full Welsh pony!
Llandefalle Better By Far
1990
Bay, 13.2 h - An incredibly beautiful stallion (above photo taken at age 23!) with big movement and a kind disposition. He is the product of proven hunter pony progenitors
on both sides - his pedigree is a blend of
TB with classic imported Welsh bloodlines.
"Farley" is the sire of Devon in-hand winners and successful pony hunters -- his get are known for their wonderful temperaments, big movement and natural lead changes. We're very excited about our "Farley" baby Flower (x Royal Charm) and Hope foaled a full sib
in 2018.
Wisewood Mr Fizzle
Buckskin, 13 h - Could definitely be a young sire to watch ... his sire is Romany River Talisman (BRP), known for siring
beautiful conformation and big movement; his dam Salvandi Magic Flight comes from great imported bloodlines on both sides and has already produced several winners.
The first "Fizz" foals arrived in 2013 -- they have the substance, refinement and the big movement of their sire/grandsire, and
we're very excited about the potential of our "Fizz" baby Foxmor Wish I May.
2006
Chestnut, 12.2h - Monarch is a young sire
by the renowned sire Carolina's Red Fox.
He's been a sensation in the breed ring, having sired seven of the top finishers at Devon; his first foal crops are just now coming into the performance classes.
His first 2 offspring to reach the hunter ring are now placing him on the USEF Leading Sires list, so we expect he'll be a successful and important sire.
We have two very promising young ponies
by Monarch - Freebird (Diego) and Royal
Gaiety (Merry).
2008
Pedigree
Dark buckskin, 13.2h - "Dickens" is a handsome young horse to watch.
Although he's just starting his career
at stud, his pedigree is full of proven Welsh champion and hunter pony champion bloodlines - his sire was imported from the famous Pendock Stud, and he is a maternal grandson of the famous UK sire Varndell Right Royal. We like his balanced, refined look, and his color is just a bonus.
Our outstanding filly Quicksilver Gold Mine (Blondie) is his daughter, and she is showing great promise.
1992
Bay Roan, 11.3 3/4h - A sire of in-hand and performance champions.
Has has sired winners at all the majors, including Devon, Upperville, Warrenton, Middleburg and Keswick. He sired a 2013 USEF Pony Finals Champion and ranks in the Top 20 on the 2014 USEF pony hunter sire's list.
Our wonderful mare Royal Treasure is one of his daughters x our foundation mare Royal Reign.
(1974 - 2000)
Gray, 12.3h - Undeniably the most successful pony hunter sire of his time, Rain Beau has been on the USEF Leading Sires list for two decades, including #1 in 2000 and 2001.
Even more importantly, he has left a strong
legacy as a sire -- his famous son Blue Rain has dominated the #1 spot since 2004, and his son Woodlands Velvet Rain moved to #2
at the end of 2013. Rain Beau has an additional five sons on the Leading Sires list.
One of his daughters, Royal Reign, has been our foundation mare and has given us many outstanding "Royal" ponies.
We do not stand a stallion at this time.
The stallions shown below are reference sires only - photos and information about the sires of our ponies.
(1998 - 2009)
Chestnut, 12.3h - In his far-too-short lifetime, Poseidon made his mark on the Welsh breed rings and in the hunter pony world. Poseidon blood is sought after by sport pony and hunter pony breeders, as well as Welsh breeding farms interested in improving their stock. His get have been
the-high selling ponies at the prestigious Pony Hunter Auctions. Though he sired a small number of foals, he is still on the USEF leading sire's list, and sons like
Farnley Triton are now carrying on his legacy.
2007
Gray, 12.3h - A young stallion who is making a big mark -- his first foals arrived in 2009 and soon began winning on the line
at Upperville, Lexington and Devon, as well as dominating the futurities. They are just beginning to hit the performance arenas,
and the hunter pony people are asking,
"Could this be the next BIG sire?"
We have two outstanding mares by Merlin -- Royal Scandal (x Royal Reign) and Kashmir
(x Little Wing). Both are showing the talent and ambition we had hoped for from this cross.
Merlin's dam Telynau Fiesta is now co-owned by Epic Farm and presented us with a beautiful filly by Empire's Power.
